Expanding our social care workforce could help our covid rsponse, provide vital employment opportunities for those losing their jobs in the crisis, and improve the quality of care in an ageing society. “Making this a reality means setting a real Living Wage for care workers, long overdue reform of how care is funded, and an honest conversation with the public about the extra tax revenues needed to deliver a decent standard care in 21st century Britain.”
