Live interactive webinar. The overall scale of the Government’s policy response to the crisis is well known, from tens of billions spent on the Job Retention Scheme to significant increases in benefit levels. But it’s impact across generations is less well understood. How effective has Government policy been at supporting the incomes of different cohorts? What does this tell us about the nature of this crisis? And what are the risks to specific generations as many of the Government’s income support schemes are withdrawn over the next six months? As part of its Intergenerational Centre, the Resolution Foundation is hosting an interactive webinar to debate and answer these questions. It will present new analysis showing the impact of the Government’s income support schemes across different age cohorts, followed by a discussion, chaired by Lord David Willetts, on the intergenerational impact of the crisis so far, and prospects for the recovery. Viewers will be able to submit questions to the panel before and during the event.
