Dr Ruth Patrick is a Lecturer in Social Policy in the Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the University of York. She leads the Covid Realities research programme, and is also currently working on research on the impact of welfare reform on larger families; and on experiences of Universal Credit in Northern Ireland. She is the author of For Whose Benefit? The Everyday Realities of Welfare Reform (Policy Press).
