Analysis and action on living standards
Resolution Ventures is seeking new external members for the Investment Advisory Panel of the new Workertech Fund in development.
What does the role involve?
The Investment Advisory Committee will review new investment proposals for the Workertech fund. These will be proposals to invest in equity in early-stage businesses, typically at pre-seed or seed stage. Advisory Panel members will inform these discussions. The dual purpose of the Workertech fund is to improve work for those in, or at risk of, low-paid and precarious work, while also seeking a financial return for the fund.
The committee and advisory panel will meet four times a year and typically aim to review 2-4 proposals per meeting. These meetings will take place in London, but can be joined remotely. Members will serve in a voluntary capacity and will be expected to attend all the meetings, and to devote enough time to read and consider the associated paperwork in advance of the meetings.
What kind of person are we looking for?
We are aiming for the Investment Advisory Committee and Advisory Panel as a whole to represent a broad spectrum of expertise, and to be able to collectively scrutinise both the financial potential of the investment, and its impact potential.
Candidates will need to have senior expertise in one or more of the following areas:
What is the organisational culture?
The Foundation prides itself on analytical rigour and we strive to achieve standards of excellence in all our work. This commitment is matched by dedication to our core purpose, working to improve the living standards of those on low-to-middle incomes. These twin pillars of rigour and purpose inform our culture and underpin everything we do.
