Covid cohorts

The Covid-19 pandemic has touched everyone’s lives, but has been felt differently across generations. And while the first half of the pandemic was marked by lockdowns to curb rising infections and deaths, the second half has been marked by the vaccine rollout and the reopening of the economy. The second half of the pandemic will also have been felt very differently across generations too.

How have different age cohorts been affected by the reopening of the economy and return to work since April? Who has benefitted most from the UK’s unlikely pandemic-induced wealth boom? And with the impact of the Covid crisis far from over, what will its legacy be for different generations across society?

The Resolution Foundation is hosting an in-person and interactive webinar – as part of its Intergenerational Centre, funded by the Nuffield Foundation – to debate and answer these questions. Following a presentation of the key highlights from the Foundation’s annual Intergenerational Audit, we will hear from leading experts on the impact of the pandemic through a generational lens.

The event will be open for a limited number of people to physically attend, and also broadcast via YouTube and the Resolution Foundation website. Viewers will be able to submit questions to the panel before and during the event.
