Our Director of Ventures

Louise Marston

Louise joined the Resolution Foundation in February 2020 as Director of Ventures, after working in technology and innovation policy and research for 10 years. Her work for Resolution Ventures focuses on worker tech and financial health and resilience.

Aish Moothan

Aish joined the Resolution Foundation team in August 2024 as Ventures Manager for Resolution Ventures. Her career has focused on impact investment, corporate innovation and early-stage start-ups. Previously, Aish worked for the Ventures Arm at the BBC and prior to that she worked as part of the Investment & Portfolio team at Bethnal Green Ventures. She also has experience working within early-stage start-ups and social enterprises. Aish holds a degree in Economics and Environmental Sciences from McGill University in Canada.

Martin Carruthers

Martin joined the Resolution Foundation in March 2024 and has a dedicated Investment Adviser role within Resolution Ventures. Previously, Martin worked in a Family Office. He has over 10 years of positive investment execution experience and the management of portfolio companies across Equity, Debt and Grant finance sources.

Darren Cockburn

Darren Cockburn’s experience over the last 30 years spans working in finance, strategy and operations in large media companies and technology start-ups, as well as consulting and banking. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of a BBC division and has led new ventures and corporate development at Disney and Channel 4.

Nick Andreou

Nick has over a decade of impact experience spanning academia, impact venture and impact investing. He has worked with stakeholders including the WHO, Harvard and Big Society Capital. He has a PhD in Work, Health and Policy and an MBA from Saïd Business School, Oxford University.
